It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Salvador, known to many as Sal. He left us on 11/03/2025 at the age of 95. Salvador was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a very cherished family member, and loyal friend
Born on August 5, 1930, in Mexico City, he started an entrepreneurial life at the tender age of 12 when he owned and managed a small carpentry shop. In his later teens he became a bullfighter. His bullfighting career ended when he was injured by a bull.
Salvador is survived by his wife of 73 years, Carmen, four children: Diana, Salvador, Carlos, and Maria; and three daughters-in-law. He has 6 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Salvador was a hardworking man. He always made sure his family was well cared for. He took great pride in his family, always putting loved ones first. He nurtured his family with lots of quiet love, travel, life lessons and valued time spent in the garage teaching ways to make and fix things. Salvador was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Salvador’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. Though gone, Salvador's impact will endure for generations to come.
A funeral service will be held on 11/08/2025 at Nativity Catholic Church, 1447 Engracia Ave, Torrance, CA, 90501, beginning at 10:00am with viewing starting at 9:00am. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Salvador's life.
Salvador will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations to ASPCA are appreciated. Sal always loved all the furry friends.
