Richard Stephen Porter

Richard Stephen Porter, 81, of Lomita, CA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 25, 2023.

Richard was born in Ohio and moved to the South Bay of CA as a boy. He worked in the floor covering industry for 60 years where he made deep and long friendships. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, reloading bullets, watching Gunsmoke & Westerns, and spending time with his family, wife, children and grandchildren. Richard "Dick" Porter will be dearly missed and always remembered. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister and her husband and their son, and his beloved wife, Daphne.

Dick is survived by his brother, David: his daughter, Vikki and her girlfriend Erin; his son Jeff and his wife Dianna; his daughter-in-law Sheila; his grandchildren; Leilani; Wyatt; Andre; Dino; and Maryam, and his niece, Denise and her family; and niece Jessica; great-nephew Nick and great-niece Alana.

Dick was a loyal friend and a loving gentle soul. He adopted Vikki and Jeff's closest friends as his own and referred to them as his sons and daughters.

A Celebration of Life for Richard "Dick" Porter will be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of his loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at Coastal Funeral Center in Lomita on April 15th at 1:00pm
