Pamela Gail Sills was born on April 27th 1956 to Glenn Ovier Norwood and Leroy Sills in Wilmington, California. She was a vibrant young child with a love for reading, music and family time. She often preferred playing alone for fear of being punished with her siblings when they were mischievous and having a little too much fun. She was one of three children. Deborah Sills is the oldest, Michael Sills was the middle child and Pamela was the youngest.
Pamela attended Compton High School followed by Compton College, ultimately completing her Associates degree. She initially had an interest in nursing, but changed paths to work in public transportation in Los Angeles California for Metro.
Pamela was married to Bruce Hurt until 1994 and from that union she had two daughters, Glennise and Jennise Hurt. Through her friendship bond with Tammy Marshall she became a God-Mother to Juankina Williams. She was close with her grandchildren and was always very family oriented. She loved living life, going to concerts or painting events with her favorite niece, Markee. Some of her favorite hobbies include helping others, she liked shopping, and had a passion for fashion.
Pamela was baptized and dedicated her life to Jehovah. She loved spending time with her spiritual family and worshiping Jehovah with her congregation.
Pamela was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Glennise and Jennise. The love and appreciation of the understanding that serving Jehovah God and protecting family are quintessential components of living an abundantly fulfilled life. That is Pamela's legacy to her beloved daughters and grandchildren.
While Pamela may have taken rest too soon, we are left with her memories to cherish in our hearts and minds. No words can express the contributions of her love, her laughter or the time spent together with this loving mother, sister, auntie and friend.
