In Loving Memory of Norma Francia
Norma Francia was born on May 20, 1940, in Manila, Philippines, to Hugo Pundavela and Angela Bactol. Her parents are from Leyte and though she was born in Manila, Norma grew up speaking Waray.
She was a devoted wife to her beloved late husband, Jess Francia, and together they were blessed with five children. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, who lovingly called her Lola, Normie or Tiny. She was also a loving mother-in-law.
Norma lived a life marked by dedication, love, and generosity. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and devoted 30 years of her professional as a government employee in Malacanang. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001. She loved ballroom dancing and was the best at Tango. Her hobby was playing mahjong with her friends; in her active years with her friends, they would all take a bus to go to casinos for fun.
Norma's life story was one of quiet strength, devotion, and generosity. Her home was always open for anyone who was in need.
She is survived by her five children: Celeste, Crezelda, Cynthia, Jesus, Jr and Carmela; her eight grandchildren: Lorenzo, Sabrina, Sofia, Ryan, Raven, Ricci, Joshua and Giliian; her sons-in-law, Louie, Roger, Dante; and daughter-in-law Myra who will forever carry her memory in their hearts
Her family takes comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue through the generations. Her stories will be shared, her lessons remembered, and the memories she created will remain a treasured part of the lives she touched.
