Michael Edward Wilby

Michael Edward Wilby, 63, of Carson, California, passed away on March 19, 2024, after a long-standing illness. He died peacefully surrounded by his family at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles, California.

Michael was born on May 28, 1960, to Louis and Patricia Wilby in Inglewood, California. After graduating from Aviation High School in Redondo Beach, he received his associate degree from El Camino College in Torrance, California, Michael got his first job as an electronics technician at Engineered Magnetics. Michael fell in love and married his wife Donna in 1991; they celebrated 33 years of marriage together. Michael went on to obtain a master's degree in education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1994 and started a career as a vocational instructor at ITT Technical Institute.

Michael is survived by his wife, Donna, his mother, Patricia, his son, Ryan, daughter-in-law, Vivian, son, Kevin, and grandson, Sean. A viewing will be held at Coastal Funeral Center in Lomita, California on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral will be held at Calvary Chapel South Bay in Gardena, California on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at Calvary Chapel South Bay. Michael will be interred at Green Hills Memorial Park on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
