Mary Jane (Sanderson) Nagel

January 30, 1946 — February 16, 2023

The world truly did become a brighter place on January 30, 1946, when Mary Jane Nagel (Sanderson) was born. Sadly, she passed from this world on February 16, 2023. Born in Ilion, New York, she moved to California and married in 1963. She had three daughters. She and her girls grew up together while navigating the ups and downs of life. Their journey moved them to Tennessee and then to New York and back to Southern California in 1976, where they have resided since.

She made many friends while working for 38 years at Del Amo Chemical Company in Gardena, California. She fully retired in 2022.

She was a lover of all things frogs and had a collection of items from all over the world that were gifted to her. She was feisty, giving, loving and kind. There is no doubt that she made a positive difference in many lives and always let you know that she "loved you more!"

Mary Jane had many friends, knew no strangers and most all, loved her family. She had many names - Mom, Grandma, GG, Auntie, MJ. She is survived by: her daughters - Lori McMillen, Riki Rivera, and Jodi Potter; her nephew that was like a son - William Munson; her grandchildren - Ashleigh Rivera, Larry (Alex) McMillen, Lyndee (Greg) Reed, Aaron Bradley Jr., Malissa McMillen, Rachel Potter, and Emily Potter; great grandchildren - Lauren (9), Cayson (9), Asher (1) and she was beyond excited to meet the latest on the way, Baby McMillen! She has many nieces and nephews that she adored.

Preceded in death by her mother, Frances, siblings - Bonnie, Kaye, Margaret and John as well as many dear friends.
