Linda Marie Daniel, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was born October 16, 1942 in Long Beach, California to Joseph and Margaret (Whalen) Beecher. She grew up in the Wilmington area attending Banning High School.
In 1960, Linda met the love of her life, Wencel (Bill) Daniel. They married March 10, 1961 at Harbor Tabernacle in Harbor City, CA. The two went on to raise their four children in the Lomita area where she lived out the rest of her days.
Linda had a varied career, working in the kitchen at the Palos Verdes School District for over 10 years along with holding roles at Camelot Drug Store, Redondo Pier, and the San Pedro Ports O’ Call. However, it was her zest for life and her love for family and friends that truly defined her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life –chatting with loved ones on Facebook, crocheting blankets for every child in the family, hosting lively backyard parties, dancing, and listening to live music at the VFW in Lomita. Linda was especially dedicated to her grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews, always cherishing her time with them.
Linda had a remarkable gift for remembering import dates, including birthdays, anniversaries, and death dates, of not just her family and members but also friends and neighbors. She was affectionately known as the family’s historian, keeping the memory of loved ones alive through her stories and recollections.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret, her four siblings; Gary Riley, Darlene, Charles, and John Beecher. As well as, the love of her life, her beloved husband Bill (1989). Linda is survived by her four children: sons, David, Mark, and Matthew Daniel and daughter Keren Daniel Corona. In addition, Linda and Bill treasured their two bonus children, Ron Hazelton and Adrienne Saavedra. She also leaves behind her six cherished grandchildren: grandsons Dustin, Boeh, Joseph, Eric, and James and her only granddaughter, Rebecca, along with three generations of nieces and nephews.
Linda’s warmth, generosity, and infectious spirt will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
