Jonathan Hyontae Kim

Our beloved brother, Jonathan Hyontae Kim, passed away peacefully at his home on September 4, 2024, at the age of 54. He is survived by his father, Soomyung Kim, and his sister, Kate Kim-Je.

Jonathan was born in Seoul, Korea, on May 1, 1970. His family immigrated to the USA in 1984, where he attended North High School in Torrance and later graduated from Bethesda University in California. He was known for his deep passion and love for God and his commitment to Kingdom Evangelism. His greatest joy was praising the Lord and volunteering in global evangelism efforts.

Jonathan is remembered by his father and sister. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Bokchin Kim.

Jonathan will be forever remembered for his kindness, his devotion to God, and his love for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held at Coastal Funeral Center, located at 25001 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita, CA 90717. Simply bring yourself and your favorite memory of Jonathan to share.
