Joe John Lopez

Joe Lopez 88, formerly a 37-year resident of Torrance, CA died on August 19, 2021, from complications of Covid-19. Joe was born in Los Angeles, CA. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Judith Louise. And their 2 children, Shawn Lopez and Suzanne Miller. Also, Shawn's wife Julie, and son Caleb, Suzanne's husband Joe, and their sons, Zachary, Nathan and William. He is also survived by his 2 older sisters, Josephina and Carolina, and many nieces, nephews and their children and other family members who will miss him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Petra, 7 siblings, Antonio, Juan, Consuelo, Ismael, Jacoba, Enrique, Pedro, and 5 days after Joe's death his sister Celia joined him in heaven.

He graduated from John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA. He served 4 years in the Strategic Air Command in the Air Force. He continued his education part time while working as an Aerospace System Designer for Hughes Aircraft. He graduated from El Camino Junior College and the University of California Dominquez Hills. After retirement from aerospace, he became a Massage Therapist, becoming the 1st licensed Massage Therapist for the City of Torrance.
In 2000 he moved to Puyallup, WA for 10 years before returning to CA in 2010. The last 11 years he had lived in Santee, CA.
