JoAnn Minnie Brett was born and raised in San Pedro, California. She passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on February 9, 1944, JoAnn was the eldest of two daughters.

JoAnn worked in the auto industry for over 35 years, holding several different positions within the industry. She was also a successful Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. JoAnn was passionate about fulfilling the needs of her customers and treated them all like family!

JoAnn served as a member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) for several years where she thrived and developed many lasting friendships. In her free time, JoAnn enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family and friends,

JoAnn is survived by her son, Bill (Patty); granddaughters, Jessica (Quinn) and Chelsea (Chris); and three great-grandchildren, Brightlyn, River, and Everly. She is predeceased by her mother Antoinette and sister Rosie.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Star of the Sea Church, in San Pedro, California on Tuesday, May 12th at 10:30AM. Burial at Green Hills Memorial Park to follow.
