En la noche del 04 de febrero de 2021, Gonzalo falleció a la edad de 73 años rodeado de su familia en el Cedars Sinai Medical Center en Los Ángeles, California.

Gonzalo nació el 10 de enero de 1948 en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, hijo de Mateo Medina y María González. Le sobrevive su esposa de 59 años, Carmen Medina. Sus 8 hijos, cónyuges de hijos, 23 nietos, 13 bisnietos, un hermano, primos y varias sobrinas y sobrinos.

La máxima prioridad de Gonzalo en la vida era la familia. Le gustaba pasar tiempo con su esposa, hijos, cónyuges de sus hijos (que amaba como propios), nietos y bisnietos. Tenía una relación única con todos; con todos teniendo un lugar especial en su corazón. El vínculo y la unidad que creó dentro de la familia es como uno que no se había visto antes.

Gonzalo también disfrutó de la jardinería y pasar tiempo con los amigos que hizo allí. Creó un vínculo especial con su familia de agricultores y conoció a ellos y a sus familias también.

Gonzalo era un hombre genuino. Siempre supiste qué esperar de él. Era un esposo amoroso, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano, hijo, primo, tío y amigo de todos los que lo amaban a él y a su familia.

Su legado perdurará en los corazones y las mentes de su familia y de todos con los que interactuó. Vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones.

On the evening of February 04, 2021, Gonzalo passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by family at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Gonzalo was born on January 10, 1948 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to late Mateo Medina and Maria Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carmen Medina. His 8 children, spouses of children, 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a brother, cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Gonzalo's top priority in life was family. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, his children's spouses (which he loved as his own), grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a unique relationship with everyone; with all having a special place in his heart. The bond and unity he created within the family is like one not seen before.

Gonzalo also enjoyed gardening and spending time with the friends he made there. He created a special bond with his farming family and got to know them and their families as well.

Gonzalo was a genuine man. You always knew what to expect from him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, cousin, uncle and friend to all who loved him and his family.

His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and everyone he interacted with. He will forever live in our hearts.
