Evelyn Marie (Battersby) Romero

Evelyn Romero (née Battersby), 76, of San Pedro, CA, passed away on October 24, 2022. Evelyn was born on September 8, 1946, in San Pedro, CA, to the late Thomas Battersby and Marguerite Battersby.

Evelyn enjoyed a life that allowed her to focus on her love of gardening and cooking. She was an avid home seamstress and spent her young adult life as a homemaker. Once her children were adults, she built a career as a secretary, specializing in the legal field.

She is survived by her three children: Matthew Skallerud, Richard D Skallerud, and Lisa Skallerud; her two grandchildren: Richard J Skallerud, and Alyxandria Smietan; her brother: Robert Battersby; and her two great-grandchildren, Robert Smietan, and Michael Smietan.

Services for Evelyn Romero will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Coastal Funeral Center, 25001 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA, 90717.
