Erlinda Gonzales (91) 1929-2020
Erlinda Gonzales passed peacefully in her home in Los Alamitos, California on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 91. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
Born in Watts, she later moved to Wilmington and since 1978 made her home in Los Alamitos, CA. For 11 years she was a nurse at Harbor UCLA and later worked at the Katella Manor in Los Alamitos.
Reunited in Eternity with her beloved husband Mike Gonzales of 59 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Teresa (John), Ruth, Susan (Tony), Mike (Gina), Monica and Maria (Terry). She adored her 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren!! She was blessed richly with her fellowship at Calvary Chapel Los Alamitos. She is also reunited in Eternity with her sisters Connie and Gloria.
Always radiant and vibrant she loved time with all of her family, flowers, plants and played a mean game of Scrabble! Most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and shared the message of salvation and his love with exuberance. She was also a great sports fan avidly watching the Dodgers and Lakers; oh and yes, the Angels too but only because of Mike Scioscia LOL!! She loved watching Jeopardy every night at 7:00 and any and all reruns of Bluebloods. She passes on the legacy of being an amazing cook!!
Our family gives our deepest thanks for all your love, prayers, cards and messages and visits. Funeral arrangements are through Coastal Funeral Center in Lomita CA. and will be laid to rest with her husband of 59 years at National Cemetery in Riverside CA.
