David McRae Snow
(July 24, 1961-March 24, 2022)
David McRae Snow was born on July 24, 1961 to Dr. Louie Lamar Snow, Jr. and Glenda McRae Snow. After a six month battle with lung cancer, he passed peacefully in his home at sunset on March 24, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Rasmussen Snow, his children, Cassandra Snow Pulliam and Alexandra Kateland Danielson-Snow (their mother, Michelle Mirander), Benjamin David Snow, and Sarah Jean Snow, grandchild, Austin Louis Lamar Pulliam, father, Lamar, and sister, Ashley Snow Barnette. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Lamar Snow and mother, Glenda.
David was born and raised in Mobile, AL where he grew to have a passion for art and music. He attended St. Luke's Episcopal School and graduated from Davidson High School in 1979. He followed in his father and brother's footsteps and went on to the University of Alabama. After cheering on the Tide for 2 years, he returned to Coastal Alabama and became a familiar voice on the radio, DJing for TK101, WABB, and 92ZEW. In 1983 he decided to take his talents to the West Coast where he was a DJ in numerous night clubs and on KROQ radio.
After moving to the West Coast, he stayed put, and became a devoted husband of nearly 27 years, a loving father to 3 daughters and a son, a proud granddaddy, and a talented graphic designer. Many would call David to be the funniest person they knew. He had a knack for snark and a quick wit that all were fond of. No matter how small the task, David gave it his all, he was passionate about anything that came his way. His musical taste will be passed on for generations to come. In his later years, he proudly became sober, and was 660 days sober on the day he passed. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
