Antonio “Tony” Buenaventura Miralles, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, pastor, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2025, at the age of 78, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 13, 1947, in the Philippines, Tony devoted his life first and foremost to God, and then to his cherished family. He was the devoted husband of Grace Miralles and the proud father of four daughters: Stephanie Wrzesniewski, Antonnette Light, Christina Seguin, and Estella Alcaraz. He adored his 9 grandsons and 5 granddaughters, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Cesar Miralles, Norma Cooper, Francisco Miralles, and Zeny Relampagos, who will always remember his kindness, humor, and deep love for family.
Tony faithfully served as a pastor at Jesus Christ the Redeemer Center, where he found his greatest calling in preaching the Word of God and guiding others in faith. His sermons, love for Scripture, and unwavering devotion to Christ touched countless lives. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
Known for his warmth, humor, and affectionate nature, Tony had a gift for making people laugh and feel loved. He was a devoted family man, the best dad his daughters could ask for, and a true example of faith in action. Outside of ministry and family, he enjoyed cooking, fishing and cheering on his favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tony will be remembered as a man of God, a loving husband and father, and a grandfather whose legacy of faith and love will live on through his family. Though he will be deeply missed, we hold fast to the promise that “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
