It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Espana on April 30, 2026 at the age of 74. Anthony was born on December 20, 1951, in Santa Monica, California to Carlos Saenz Espana and Mary Louise Espana. Anthony married Joann on January 13, 1979 in San Pedro California. They met while both working at Bullocks Department Store, Tony in Security and Joann as an Assistant Manager. They lived happily together for 47 years. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Louise, his brother Carlos, mother in law Nancy, father-in-law Joe and brother-in-law Anthony. He is survived by his wife Joann, his daughter Danielle (Chris), his son Joseph (Erika), and his four grandchildren Brayden, Emma, Ella Jo and Luca.

He loved to cheer for his grandchildren at there sporting events or taking a trip to South Carolina to spend time with his two youngest grandchildren. Tony will be remembered for his patience, kindness, a wonderful husband, an amazing father and a great friend.

Family and friends are invited to the celebration of Tony's life which will be held at Holy Trinity Church in San Pedro on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Rosary will be at 10:00 AM and Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM.
